The former 'The Only Way is Essex' star is mourning the passing of his pet pooch Poppy just weeks after his restaurant burnt down, and two months after his father, Edward, died.

He wrote on his Instagram Stories: "R.I.P my little Poppy... you will be missed sorely. Up there with grandad now.. sleep well, thank you for being such a beautiful soul. (sic)"

Elliott took to Instagram last month to reveal his Marbella eatery, Olivia’s La Cala, had burned to the ground following a devastating blaze.

He wrote: "So I will get this out there as no doubt this news will spread fast... unfortunately it’s with regret that @olivias_la_cala had a fire in the early hours of this morning... it’s too soon to say why, all that matters is it has. More importantly in life you get tested.. it’s been a very testing couple of years.. especially recently.. but if you know me, you know I will rise from this.. I will rebuild it big and better then before.. I will never be beaten (sic)"

The news came just over a month after Edward tragically passed away following a battle with coronavirus.

Elliott admitted at the time he was "simply devastated" by his dad's death, and said he would be a "very happy soul" if he could be "half the man" his father was.

In part of a lengthy post, he wrote: "It is with heart wrenching regret, that I have to post this post, my father Edward George Wright passed away peacefully with his family by his side on the 02.03.2021 after bravely fighting Covid for 8 weeks...

"The legacy and mark you leave is colossal, put simply if I could be half the man you were, when my time finally comes.. i would go a very happy soul. I love you dad, the hole you leave is monumental but the memories I will cherish for ever. I know you will be watching over me an the kids, I hope I continue to make you proud, Rest in peace dad. See you at the gates when the time comes. I Love you, with all my Heart (sic)"
