The former 'Made in Chelsea' star, 31, was absent from his podcast with pal Pete Wicks, 'Staying Relevant', this week, sparking speculation he is headed Down Under to take part in the ITV jungle reality show.

A source told The Sun: "Sam is a great signing because he has a huge fan base and a funny self-deprecating personality.

"While it might put a bit of pressure on their relationship, it’s a huge year for them.”

The latest rumour comes hot off the heels of Jamie Lynn Spears being reported to have joined the lineup.

The 32-year-old actress is the younger sister of pop legend Britney, 41, and is said to be set for an appearance on the survival show when it returns to screens on November 19.

In recent years, Jamie Lynn has become estranged from her sister, who regained control of her multimillion-dollar fortune and various aspects of her life when a conservatorship governed by her immediate family was terminated in 2021, over her alleged involvement in the arrangement and now producers are hoping that she will open up about their "history" during her time in the Australian Outback.

A source told The Daily Mirror: "Jamie Lynn has got decades of history and bad blood with Britney to rake over and has laid out her feelings pretty clearly in her own book. It will be interesting to hear her spill the beans about her life and her family and the controversial conservatorship - and to find out whether the sisters really do get along now - or not."

Several stars have been linked to the upcoming series, including JLS singer Marvin Humes, jockey Frankie Dettori, soap stars Danielle Harold and Nick Pickard, politician Nigel Farage, and 'This Morning' host Josie Gibson.

It was previously claimed Nigel was offered a staggering £1 million to take part and he recently admitted he is "seriously considering" going into camp this year after rejecting past approaches.

Speaking on his 'GB News' show, he said: "Several times since 2016 I've had 'I'm A Celebrity ... Get Me Out Of Here!' from ITV saying to me, 'Come into the jungle.'

"And they've always offered me really quite substantial sums of money to do so, and I have always thought 'No, it's probably not the right thing for me to do.' "

'MasterChef' star Grace Dent is also expected to take part in the show.

A source told The Sun on Sunday newspaper's TV Biz column: "'MasterChef' fans know Grace for her withering put-downs of contestants’ food and disdain for anything less than stellar cooking.

"But she’ll be eating humble pie in the jungle, surviving on rice and beans and taking part in Bushtucker trials."
