After fans of George RR Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire book series were left disappointed at the end of Game of Thrones' fourth season, it seems more bad news is on the cards.

Lady Stoneheart - a zombiefied version of Catelyn Stark appears in the epilogue of Martin's A Storm of Swords, but in a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, Michelle Fairley who played Catelyn has claimed the character's unlikely to make a comeback.

"Yeah, the character's dead - she's dead.

"You respect the writers' decision. I knew the arc, and that was it." she said.

Claiming it would be "impossible" for David Benioff and DB Weiss to 100% stick to the books, the comments will come as a blow to those who were hoping for the big reveal to happen at the start of season five.

Game of Thrones returns in 2015.
