The 34-year-old actress - who is best known for her long-running role as Theresa McQueen in the Channel 4 soap - has been dating businessman Ollie since 2020 and the pair got engaged in December 2021 whilst on holiday in Scotland.

Jorgie has now spilled on the romantic details of just how Ollie popped the question to her, admitting they were were both very emotional.

In an interview with the new issue of HELLO! magazine, she shared: "Suddenly Ollie was on one knee clutching an open box. I couldn't believe what was happening.

"I started crying and so did Ollie. He was so emotional he couldn't get his words out, so we hugged, he put the ring on my finger and then he asked me to marry him. Of course, I said yes!"

Jorgie feels so lucky to be getting married to Ollie and believes all her previous relationships were leading her to "The One".

She said: "I genuinely feel now like all my past relationships were a learning experience in how to find The One.

"When Ollie got on one knee, I just thought, 'Oh my god, you've said you love me and you mean it.'

"Now we want to be together forever – one of those elderly couples on a bench, years later still hopelessly in love."

The happy news for the pair came after heartbreak for the couple, who were expecting quadruplets before a devastating miscarriage left the couple in "total shock".

She said at the time: "It didn't make sense. I'd not had any sign that things weren't OK. No pain or bleeding, I was getting bigger, my boobs were growing, I had so much hair on my body and I still felt pregnant. When the consultant performed the scan then said 'You've miscarried', I was in total shock."
