The former 'Hollyoaks' actress harboured ambitions of being a ballet star during her formative years but then switched to dreams of playing for England at Wembley, until she realised she didn't quite have the talent required to be the next Fara Williams - who has 170 caps for the England women's team - so she returned to dancing.

She said: "I grew up and right from the age of three I was want to be a prima ballerina. I wanted to do football for a year, I think that was when I [started] fancying boys.

"I wasn't very good at that [the football], I'd just rather watch it, so went back to dance. I got into The Hammond School in Chester by a scholarship fortunately, because we would never have been able to afford it."

Jorgie is currently putting her dance work to good use by starring in 'Fame - The Musical', and while she hasn't ruled out a return to the Channel 4 soap - on which she portrayed Theresa McQueen for eight years - she enjoys appearing in other projects.

She said: "I'd never say never. To go back wouldn't be a bad thing. I'm just enjoying seeing new things, new people and new experiences because as much as I love 'Hollyoaks' it's kind of restricting in an acting situation.

"I love the fact I do get to do different things now."

The 30-year-old actress loved appearing on the soap, but admits she wasn't able to star in many shows alongside the programme.

Speaking to the Ipswich Star newspaper, she added: "When I first started with 'Hollyoaks' I was really lucky it became eight years non-stop, but you just cannot do anything else that much inbetween.

"I did 'Dancing on Ice' but that kind of TV just takes over a bit, then I don't think you think about theatre."

Jorgie recently admitted she would love to compete on 'Strictly Come Dancing' one day.

She said: "'Strictly' would be the dream. I'd love that.

"I've been on reality shows before where I've not been bothered about winning and just wanted to take part. But on 'Strictly' I'd want to win, just so I could stay on and dance until the end."
