TLC have gained the rights to air Lindsay Lohan's eight part documentary series as she restarts her life following rehabilitation.

The Hollywood star has lived her life in the spotlight, but viewers will now be given the chance to see Lindsay candidly in a way never done before.

Each episode follows Lindsay on her journey through recovery following her well-documented period of crisis, as the actress opens up in a no-holds-barred account of the life she lives every single day.

As one of the most sought-after celebrities in the world, Lindsay will be shown returning to New York, reuniting with her family and friends before she attempts to build a new life.

Working hard to stay on track despite the demands and many pitfalls of fame, she discusses her emotional times and exhausting paparazzi run-ins.

The series premiere will focus on Lindsay as she hires her new personal assistant and sober coach, moves into a New York hotel and starts hunting for an apartment, while pressure builds surrounding her career.

“My intention is to just (you know) be me. Filming this docu-series, I’m still figuring out who I am so you know, it’s a whole learning process.” said Lindsay of the series.

The show starts as a double bill on Sunday, May 4 at 9pm and 10pm, with episode three through to eight airing Sundays at 9pm on TLC.

TLC is available on Sky 125, Virgin 167, BT 413, TalkTalk 413.
