The 'EastEnders' actress took to Instagram to reveal she and her fiance Ben Bhanvra have welcomed their first child into the world.

She posted: "And then there were three… [heart emoji] Welcome to the world, We are utterly overwhelmed with love (sic)"

Louisa shared a picture of their little one clutching onto her hand, and Ben placed his hand around theirs.

A number of her 'EastEnders' co-stars past and present congratulated the couple on their new arrival.

Jacqueline Jossa - who played Lauren Branning in the show - wrote: "congratulations darling (sic)"

James Bye - who stars as Louisa's on-screen husband Martin Fowler - commented: "CONGRATULATIONS!!!! (sic)"

He also wrote on Ben's Instagram: "Congratulations bud! Absolutely amazing news"

Louisa recently admitted she has been "unhappy in many ways" during her pregnancy.

She said: "You are pregnant so everyone around you feels like this is the best news possible. This is what you wanted so you should feel happy every day and not have any negative thoughts. And in my head I thought this doesn't sit right. I am so happy that I am pregnant but I am so unhappy in many other ways. At first I had sickness but my body was changing and I wasn't in control of the fact that I had no energy. Normally I am a really energetic person."

But the 32-year-old star didn't want to sound ungrateful to those who are struggling to conceive.

She explained: "I was craving really terrible foods and I don't really eat like that. You are almost afraid to speak to anyone around it. My mum was like, 'You are pregnant of course you are going to put on weight'. And to my friends who hadn't been through it, I felt terrible to be negative around the fact that I was pregnant when some people are trying."
