This year’s series of Love Island may have gotten off to a slower start than some would have liked, but it appears that the arrival of two female Bombshells – Afia and Ekin-Su – is about to see the pace quicken up and, temperatures soar.

Having received the greatest number of public votes for both dates with the new arrivals, Liam says in the Beach Hut: "It's a massive booster, definitely what I needed, I am buzzing now, I can't wait to meet the girls."

Awaiting his arrival in a candle-lit courtyard, Afia is first up to get her graft on with Liam, who says she is "definitely" his type: "I like your vibe, you're just a laugh, a bubbly, outgoing girl and that's exactly what I want."

Then chatting with Ekin-Su on his second date of the night, she tells him: "You've got really nice eyes, the colour of the sea, almost like you can kind of swim in it and get lost... Your eyes are just hypnotising me; I love blue eyes."

Following their dates, Afia and Ekin-Su officially enter the villa with Liam by their side, but he's not the only boy to turn his head, as both Davide and Luca are impressed.

"Ekin-Su, oh my god, she's going to cause trouble," says Luca in the Beach Hut, with Davide adding: "the two new girls are fire."

The original ladies are feeling the pressure, as Gemma tells the other girls: "I am confident in myself. I know what I want and nine times out of ten, I do get what I want but this could be the one time difference."

Amber agrees, saying: "I am still happy to get to know them, I am not going to be a b*tch, but be a b*tch to me and you ain't gonna get the nice Amber, a storm is about to begin."

Feathers are quick to be ruffled as another game of Dares takes place, with Ekin-Su performing a dance on Davide and ends it with a kiss on his cheek. She says in the Beach Hut: "Who else would I want to be rubbing my booty against? You know, the nice little eight pack!"

Andrew and Paige then lock lips when he is asked to kiss the girl who he believes is "wifey material", and when Paige is asked who is "boyfriend material", she reciprocates. Tasha's left upset, telling Gemma and Dami that "it wasn't nice to see at all."

Luca then pulls Gemma for a chat on the rooftop, where she admits to him: "I am attracted to you, I definitely would want to get to know you."

As talking turns to kissing and a recoupling looms, will we see one of the biggest shakeups on Week 1 in Love Island history?

Love Island airs tonight at 9pm on ITV2 and the ITV Hub. Episodes are available the following morning on BritBox.
