It’s fair to say that the drama and tension has been ramped up to an all-time high following the reveal of Casa Amor in this year’s series of Love Island and, in tonight’s (July 6th, 2022) episode, that shows no sign of slowing down.

In the main villa, Jacques is getting to know Cheyanne and asks her to go to the terrace.

Asking him how his chat went with Mollie, Jacques flips the question back on her before teasing: "Aww are you getting cosy now I only want you?"

He then explains that he told Mollie he sees her as a friend, before telling Cheyanne: "I told you I only wanna get to know you."

Then leaning in for a kiss, could this be the end of his time together with Paige, who has remained loyal at Casa Amor?

Over in the kitchen, Jay is giving some advice to Davide about his situation with Ekin-Su, saying: “Right now it’s quite obvious I think you still have a connection with Ekin, and you don’t just wanna throw that to the side out of spite, it’s not right man.”

Davide admits: “I make myself many problems…Let’s see today how it goes,” before Jay replies: “You should stay true to how you feel man, go for it.”

Later on, Andrew gets emotional when talking to Jacques about the past few weeks he has spent with Tasha, saying he "literally opened up to her" and that he feels he's been lied to.

Jacques says: “I know we’re supposed to be tough and that but sometimes it’s just good to get it out.”

Talking more about the bond shared with Tasha, Andrew says he feels he was "with someone and not being enough", before Jacques tells him that "anyone would be lucky to have you."

Exactly what’s next for Andrew remains to be seen…

At Casa Amor, Indiyah is pulled for a chat by Deji, who says he came onto the show with "an open mind".

He continues: Naturally I’ve gravitated more towards you. Not even just attraction, it’s just on so many different levels. In the back of my mind I still can’t help but think about the situation that you’re in and obviously it does scare me because I do like you.”

Indiyah replies: “Obviously I have a connection with Dami, there’s not nothing there. But in the real world, I’m used to dating. It doesn’t invalidate my feelings for anything. Hypothetically speaking, if you were to come back to the villa with me I would have to have those conversations still with Dami.”

Saying that the ball is “100% in your court” to Indiyah, Deji has given her the opportunity to go with whatever she feels is best for her; but what will she decide?

Then lounging by the pool, both villas receive a text telling them that a recoupling is on the horizon and they need to make their final decisions on whether to stick with their original couplings, or twist and pick one of the new Islanders to pair up with.

Paige says: “I am one of those people that is a glass half full, I am actually really excited to go back just so I can see Jacques again.”

Dami meanwhile is confused, saying: "My head’s fried, scrambled, whatever way you like your eggs. That’s the way my head is right now. I’m scared.”

Host Laura Whitmore enters the villa to kick things off; who will remain loyal and who has decided to change things up in a bid for romance?
