The 'Loose Women' panellist has been forced to ditch her kinky lingerie for thicker knickers as she found herself limiting her daily activities out of fear she'd wet herself.

Speaking to the Metro newspaper, the 51-year-old television presenter - who is promoting incontinence products - said: "Depend, which makes incontinence products, did a survey among women, covering any kind of leakage from a few drops to a full-on gush. It found 40 per cent of women aged 45 to 65 experience some form of it, including me. I talk about everything on 'Loose Women' but I don't feel comfortable talking about it, so if I find it difficult, goodness knows what other people feel like.

"I ran two marathons but stopped because I didn't want to risk a leakage - but I now have new underwear and I can do whatever I like. Mine (the incontinence) came from giving birth to two children, so why should there be shame in that?"

The cork-screw-curled star - who has daughters Maddie, 13, and Kiki, seven, with her husband Mark Adderley - has taken up Pilates to help with her pelvic muscles.

She explained: "If you carry more weight you put more pressure on your pelvic floor. I do Pilates, pelvic floor exercises, but I damaged my pelvic floor when I was pregnant so will always experience some level of incontinence - but it comes and goes."
