With the premiere of Stranger Things Season 4, Volume 1 right around the corner, streaming platform Netflix has released the first eight minutes of the first new episode, which is just enough to whet the appetite of fans who have been waiting patiently for the series’ return.

It's been six months since the tragic Battle of Starcourt, with Hawkins recovering from the terror and destruction that rained down upon it. Our group of friends are struggling in the aftermath and, for the first time since they met, are being separated whilst navigating the complexities of high school.

In perhaps their most vulnerable time of their life to-date, they must once again band together where possible and work against a new supernatural threat, presenting a terrifying mystery that could, if solved, finally end the horrors of the Upside Down for good.

Along with the eight-minute preview, Netflix has revealed that this season is over five hours longer than any of the three that have come before it.
