Amy Childs, Sinitta, Kimberly Wyatt and Anthea Turner are just four of the names confirmed for the upcoming new show The Jump.

The quartet will compete in Channel 4's winter sports show alongside presenters Laura Hamilton and Melinda Messenger, Five star Ritchie Neville, comic Marcus Brigstocke, hairdresser Nicky Clarke, Olympic legend Sir Steve Redgrave, cricketer Darren Gough and socialite Henry Conway, it has been officially announced.

The celebrities will take part in a number of challenges including bobsleigh, skeleton, speed-skating, slalom skiing and cross-country skiing and the worst performers will have to tackle a huge ski jump to stay in the competition.

The show - which is hosted by Davina McCall - will see the celebrities coached by experts including skier Graham Bell, skeleton gold medallist Amy Williams and Eddie 'The Eagle' Edwards.

Eddie said: "This competition is as much about mental strength as it is about physical agility. Winter sports are tough to master; it takes skill, guts and determination to get round a course.

"The ultimate test will be the jump itself. I know how hard it can be when the world is watching."

Both Laura and Ritchie are last-minute contestants, with the presenter stepping in after Tara Palmer-Tomkinson decided the show "wasn't for her", and the singer has taken the place of injured 'Flash Gordon' star Sam Jones.

The contestants are getting on well, and have even been playing pranks on one another.

Former 'TOWIE' star Amy was urged to eat "yellow snow" - a patch where someone had relieved themselves - by Sinitta, who told her it was iced tea.

Speaking of the incident - which saw Amy close to vomiting - Sinitta laughed: "I did warn her not to eat yellow snow - but she insisted."

'The Jump' airs on Channel 4 on Sundays from January 26.
