The 34-year-old actress - who is best known to audiences for playing the title role of Tracy Beaker in the CBBC adaptation of Jacqueline Wilson's novel series - is starring as Fairy Bon Bon in a production of 'Beauty and the Beast' at Mansfield Palace Theatre but took to social media on Thursday (21.12.23) to give fans the news that she would be missing performances that day as she was suffering from concussion,

She wrote on Instagram: "Absolutely gutted not to be able to do the shows today. I have a concussion, so under doctors orders to rest until I feel less dizzy and nauseous.

"Sending love and fairy dust to the amazing Shannon Lockey who I know will make the most magical Fairy Bon Bon."

Last year Dani - who has reprised her role as Tracy in 'The Beaker Girls and 'My Mum Tracy Beaker - gave birth to a baby boy with partner Simon Brough, with whom she already has a six-year-old daughter called Avarie-Belle.

The former 'Dani's Castle' star previously revealed that she had suffered from depression "on and off" over the course of her life and the trolling she had received when she took part in 'Strictly Come Dancing' in 2012, had given her anxiety wondering what sort of messages she would see next,

She told the Independent: "I’ve suffered with depression on and off for my entire life, but the comments I received when I was on Strictly sparked off anxiety, which wasn’t really something I had dealt with up until that point. It’s just that anxiety of opening your phone up and wondering what you’re going to get next."
