Biggins King Of The Jungle

I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here The Final - Christopher Biggins wept with joy last night after winning I’m A Celebrity. Biggins, 58, beat ex-supermodel Janice Dickinson, 52, and Jason J in the ITV1 reality show’s final. Lovable Biggins put face in his hands and sobbed as he was named King of the Jungle, mumbling "Oh my God." Former 5ive singer J, 31, was the first to be voted out of the final, leaving a two way contest between Biggins and Janice. J told Ant and Dec "I have achieved so much on this show. I have met so many wonderful people." adding "I can’t believe it. I’m really, really shocked. Later Biggins "It’s been a wonderful, wonderful experience and I can’t believe that I’m here, that I’ve done it. "I’ve made wonderful friends and I’ve done wonderful things that I never thought I would do.

"There was a bit of friction but listen, you put 11 people together and there’s bound to be friction."

He added: "I’ve made the most fabulous friends and had a wonderful time.

"It just got better and better, My health has got better. It has been fantastic."

Talking about his trials in the jungle, Biggins said: "I never want to see mud again, there was so much everywhere."

When told by Ant and Dec to sit on his throne, Biggins squealed: "Oh how embarrassing." But as his crown was placed on his head he sipped a glass of champagne and shouted "Cheers" to the other celebs.

He then hugged his boyfriend and again started crying..

The clincher for Biggins was his final Bush Tucker Trial eating roo’s testicles, he was also forced to chomp down on a kangaroo willy, a crocodile foot, three cockroaches and a witchetty grub.

As he chewed the willy, he said: "I’ve had worse things in my mouth."

He had underestimated the task and was soon moaning: "It’s really hard, you can’t bite into it. It’s very tough." After finally swallowing the last piece, he grimaced: "I’m really a breast man."

The crocodile foot almost beat him as he fought not the urge to vomit but he had no problems with the live roaches, telling Ant and Dec "They taste fabulous, all crunchy."adding "They ran around a bit before they got to my teeth."

The first dish he was offered, the witchetty grub, was also consumed with ease. But by the end, he was so shaken by the ordeal he announced to the Geordie hosts: "I hate you two, I’ve always been so nice to you in the past."

The former Rentaghost star Biggins carried off the top prize in style.

I’m A Celebrity...! has made a triumphant comeback, as many reality shows have struggled, but this time with Janice 'O Man' Dickinson and Biggins they made 'Good TV' as Janice inflamed petty squabbles.
