Producers decided to merge the two camps after four days of continuous rain in the Australian Outback. There was a severe weather warning for the Tweed Hinterland where the camp is situated and due to possible flooding, the camps were merged on Tuesday night instead of Wednesday morning (Australian time).
The Away Camp joined the Home Camp and were given hammocks to sleep in offering respite from sleeping on the jungle floor as they had been for the past few days. After initial greetings, Brian tried to organise the camp mates and their sleeping arrangements. Esther said to Martina: "What does it say about the British? That they have to punish themselves. But we volunteered didn’t we."
Joe was vey helpful to Esther for which she was grateful and he gave up his bed for her. Carly said: "You’re the new Bear Grylls."
Carly found sleeping in a hammock hard to manage. As she tried to lie down, she tumbled out of the hammock. She said: "It’s hard to balance and get in the swag and get in the [hammock]."
She later said "Joe [Cole] really likes Robert Kilroy Silk. I think it’s because his Nan and his Mum likes him. He thinks he’s a legend."
One person who isn't a big fan of Robert though is Nicola. She is annoyed that he keeps calling her Nicole. She said: "I don't claim to be a big celebrity. I don't care if people didn't know my name when I first came into camp but I've now lived with you for four days. My name is Nicola. Not Nic, not Nicky, not Nicole. Nicola."
She confronted Robert and he said: "I'm so sorry."
