Eileen (Sue Cleaver) and Steve (Simon Gregson) arrive in Malta and she immediately regrets coming as it is the height of the season and they can't find anywhere to stay. Steve has already had enough of her nagging and the trip is off to a bad start before it has even begun. Steve eventually finds them somewhere to stay but they've got to share a room - not too much of a problem until they discover they also have to share a bed! Meanwhile things are looking up for Eileen when Aidan (Robin Askwith) the holiday representative takes a shine to Eileen and gives her his number. Feeling sorry for himself Steve puts Aidan off Eileen so that he doesn't end up a gooseberry and then passes out on the bed drunk. Faced with an uncomfortable night on the floor Eileen gets into bed beside him - will Steve have any recollection of the night before and just how he came to end up in bed with Eileen? Ashley (Steven Arnold) is shaken up when Casey (Zoe Henry) appears at the butchers but she reassures him that she is not expecting anything from him. She goes to see Claire (Julia Haworth) who confides in her that things still aren't well with Ashley and asks her to stay for dinner.

Their meal is awkward and Ashley quickly excuses himself and heads for the Rovers. He is thrown when Casey follows him and tells him what happened between them wasn't her fault, how will Ashley respond?

Jason (Ryan Thomas) gets earache from Gail (Helen Worth) and Sarah (Tina O'Brien) about their wedding plans and is annoyed to discover his mother has disappeared to Malta.

Leanne (Jane Danson) and Paul (Tom Hudson) enjoy their most successful lunchtime so far.
