Struggling with her nerves, Michelle (Kym Ryder) gets straight to the point telling Nick (Robert Horwell) that she understands he’s upset but she won’t agree to the DNA tests. Nick tries to convince Michelle that he’s been through hell coming to terms with this but the boys should know their true identity and reassures her that she’s not being disloyal to Ryan. Michelle can’t deny that she’s curious about Alex and hesitantly agrees to do a test after Christmas. However, once she’s alone with Steve (Simon Gregson) she confesses she’s worried that this isn’t what’s best for Ryan. Will she go ahead with the test? John (Graeme Hawley) is worried after Rosie’s (Helen Flanagan) revelation that she wants him to dump Fiz (Jennie McAlpine) tonight and won’t be treated like a dirty secret anymore. John finally lies to Fiz that his family have made him realise his life isn’t working out as planned and he wanted to make a real go of his career before settling down. However, when Fiz guesses that he’s about to call things off she begs him not to, and seeing how upset she is, John backtracks. He’s wrought with guilt and when Rosie puts pressure on him to do it after Christmas, he's torn. What will he do?While David (Jack P Shepherd) refuses to attend the family Christmas Eve gathering, Sarah’s (Tina O'Brien) plan is working a treat and she’s delighted when Stephen (Todd Boyce) asks if Jason (Ryan Thomas) would be interested in taking the job that he offered David. Sarah jumps in to accept the job for herself and can’t hide her excitement about their exotic new life in Milan. Jason’s unsure about making such a big move, will she manage to convince him to leave Weatherfield? Elsewhere, Becky (Katherine Kelly) finds out that Chesney (Sam Aston) and Kirk (Andrew Whyment) are alone for Christmas and suggests that they have Christmas dinner with her and Roy (David Neilson) in the café.
