"Patsy is really sad to be leaving the show as she loves playing Bianca and working with executive producer Dominic Treadwell-Collins but she knows it's the right decision at this time in her life." said a spokesperson for Patsy in a statement.
It has been confirmed by Dominic Treadwell-Collins that her character won't be killed off, and "the door will be left wide open for her return."
The actress and mother-of-four is reportedly set to move to Los Angeles with her family this summer.
She isn't to leave Albert Square until this autumn.
