As the ladies both attempt to take Donald's arm Nicola steps back and trips on the sabotaged carpet herself. Donald finally makes his way downstairs to find Nicola injured at the bottom. Remarking on the shoddy carpet, Donald jokes that he would be dead if he'd had fallen instead. Are Nicola's murderous plans doomed to fail?Elsewhere, Paul (Mathew Bose) is disgruntled to find Jonny's (Richard Grieve) friend Bev (Jody Ellen Machin) intends to extend her stay in the village.
