Last week I didn't think much to Tony from the Survivor Cagayan Brawn tribe. I thought he was being stupid lying about his profession so blatently when asked, and so I was pleasantly surprised when he turned things around in this week's episode, and fast became one of my favourite players of the season so far.

Spinning a web of lies with Sarah Lacina who swore on her badge he'll have her word from there on in, he told her that the other members of their tribe were planning to take her out because she's too smart, but forced her to promise she wouldn't reveal to them she knew what they were supposedly planning. Brilliant game, but will it stick?

The Brains tribe decided to get some practice in ahead of their immunity and reward challenge later that day, and when it came time to put up or shut up, it was Spencer and Kass who seemed the most able to actually get anything done.

J'Tia was a mess, but she's hilarious to watch, so the longer she stays around, the better in my books. I was crying tears of laughter. They did redeem themselves however when they came in second, winning themselves a tarp just behind the Brawn tribe, who also got a tarp as well as comfort items including pillows and blankets.

Meanwhile, LJ did a fantastic job of finding the hidden immunity idol that had left Morgan clueless as to its location, plucking it out of the sea without a clue or anything to guide him, other than Morgan's actions on day one.

Luckily for him, even though it was the Beauty tribe that were forced to go to tribal council to vote somebody off, he didn't have to use it and his name was only briefly thrown out on the chopping block by one of the girls, with another dismissing him immediately because he's needed for challenges.

LJ has a likeability that not many of the beauty tribe possess, but with his closest ally Jeremiah seeming a bit of a loose cannon when it comes to loyalty, he may have to chuck Jeff the idol sooner than later. He doesn't want to go home with it in his pocket now, does he Garrett?

In the end it was Brice who was sent packing. His bitter final speech was funny, and it's a shame we didn't see more of his fiery side while he was on the island.

Survivor Cagayan continues next Wednesday on CBS.
