Booja Booja Caramel Pecan Praline

Booja Booja Caramel Pecan Praline

We’re starting with the Caramel Pecan Praline. Unlike other ice creams that are laden with things you can’t pronounce and mystery ingredients- this proudly boasts that it only contains seven ingredients. It only needs water, cashew nuts, coconut syrup, agave syrup, pecan nuts, sea salt and vanilla extract to create this product and it’s just as good as any ice cream I’ve bought in the frozen aisle.

This was just what I needed on a wet Saturday when I had nothing else to do but eat and read! It’s a skill trying to balance a kindle, a tub and a spoon but I was dedicated to the multitasking challenge.

The top is smoothed over but once you let it defrost a little and dig beneath the surface, there is a sticky, nutty caramel surprise in the middle. With every layer you scoop out, you get the soft, creamy texture of the outside and the crunchy, chewy core. And if you’re lucky, there might be a whole pecan lurking at the bottom of the tub. I was fortunate enough to find one of these!

The product is perfect for people who are allergic to soya and dairy but also people who choose to omit animal products from their diet-so ideal for vegans too.

It is crazy to think that nuts can create the same creaminess as a milk- but they do. If you were to have a blind taste test, you wouldn’t be able to tell the difference.

I am ashamed to admit it but my husband who was supposed to be sharing his thoughts didn’t get a look in- it was far to good to share so you’ll have to do with my review I’m afraid!

You do pay more for an ice cream of this quality so it all depends if you want to enjoy something sweet with natural, organic ingredients or not. If you do, then you have to shell out a bit more- but it’s well worth it if you do.
