Death is another common subject of dreams and one that can be particularly disconcerting.

Dreams

These dreams can sometimes involve the death of a loved one or even dream of dying yourself.

Rather than it interpreting this too literal meaning - to die - it is a dream that often means you are suffering from anxiety about change or the unknown.

Literally in comparison to death, change can be frightening because just like death we do not know what is 'on the other side,' of the change, which is why your dreaming mind equates the change with death.

To take the other common dream about the death of a loved one this also denotes a similar fear of change, especially with regards to children reaching a milestone or growing up.

These changes, are likely to, indicate that a child is growing up and a parent’s dream can cause a mixture of emotions such as wondering where child went, and when the young adult came to be. In these instances, dreams of dying are reflecting a of mourning for the inevitable passage of time.

Another interpretation can depend on the age of the dreamer as research has shown those approaching the end of life and with the prospect of leaving loved ones behind they experience significant and meaningful dreams, often relating to a comforting presence, of their long gone parent, or they may have dreams of how they would want to go.

The dreams may also involve being in the company and engaging with a deceased loved one waiting, the experiences may involve unpleasant experiences, or about unfinished business these may act as a reminder to plan to complete the uncompleted.
