Men and women who have lower job levels health deteriorates faster than people’s who had higher positions.

A study of civil servants by the University College London showed that the physical health of a 70 year who held a higher job occupation was the same as a 62 year old man who worked in a lower grade.

The researchers found that mental health improved at a later age, but it improved slower in women and men who had lower jobs.

The research was carried out on 10, 308 office based on civil servants aged between 35 and 55 years old.

UCL claims that the study shows social inequalities affect the mental and physical health of people in the early period of old age.
