Not only has Tulisa Contostavlos successfully replaced Cheryl Cole as a judge on The X Factor but she has also knocked her off the top spot for the most wanted celebrity smile.

Cheryl’s warm smile won over the nation’s hearts and she has in the past been voted to have the most envied ivories. However results from the leading Harley Street Clinic Lovelite reveal that Tulisa, who had her smile transformed when she had veneers fitted at the start of the ITV show, is now the star whose white teeth Britain most covets.

The findings may also cause some sibling rivalry, as whilst Pippa Middleton may boast the best bum in Britain, her smile was only rated in tenth place, seven spots down from her sister Kate who sits at third position.

Despite her relationship woes not giving her much reason to smile at the minute, Michelle Keegan should be cheered by the fact her pearly whites also feature highly on the list at number four.

When it comes to the most sought after male smile, it appears Cheryl Cole isn’t the only one to have been charmed by Tom Daley; his dazzling teeth make his the celebrity smile men most want to copy. Tom’s cheeky grin made him one of the faces of the Olympics and this was more than evident when he beamed from ear to ear as he received Bronze for the Men’s 10m diving over the weekend.

Like the women’s top three, men are also looking to fellow Brits for inspiration, with David Beckham and Mark Wright coming in second and third. An unlikely Brit to make the list is Russell Brand, whose unkempt appearance was tidied with teeth whitening when he moved to the States. It seems men pay attention to the Royals too, as Prince Harry’s grin made the list at number eight, just behind rapper Professor Green, who has previously spent a reported £12,000 on overhauling his teeth.

However the ‘obviously fake’ look is far from popular, as it was found that the smiles people most want to avoid include Chloe Sims, Nicola Roberts and Simon Cowell, which are thought to be too big and too white.

Debra Robson-Lawrence co-founder of the LoveLite clinic said: “The majority of people coming to get the LoveLite White treatment bring pictures of celebs whose smile they want - just like people do at the hairdressers. People want bright white teeth, which at the same time look natural, which is why we’re always asked for teeth like Tulisa, Cheryl and Kate”

“We always used to get asked for the ‘Cheryl Smile’ but now Tulisa seems to be the one women want. Whiteness similar to the Royals was very popular around the time of the Jubilee, and stars from The Only Way Is Essex are always referenced – although the boys from Made in Chelsea are starting to give them a run for their money!”
