Will you accessorise your hair with flowers on your big day?

Will you accessorise your hair with flowers on your big day?

Cheryl Cole has got us all wondering what she wore and how she looked on her secret wedding day, but what about you? How will you look?

As well as the dress, the shoes, the jewellery and the make-up you have to make a decision about your hair, how are you going to style it?

Norris Ogario, founder and Creative Director of Ogario London is on hand to make sure you look breath-taking on your big day and take some of the stress out of deciding on how to style it with some helpful hints.

Fit The Feel Of The Day Perhaps you’ve gone for a vintage vibe? Or maybe you’re a thoroughly modern mrs-to-be? Whatever the style of your wedding, make sure your locks look the part so tousled boho braids could be perfect for a natural, outdoorsy wedding, while perfectly preened curls may be more you’re thing if getting hitched at a grand old manor. Work out the kind of styles you like and then decide what would be most fitting for your big day.

Stay True To You While it can be tempting to go wild with wonderful new ways with your hair, it’s important that you don’t end up barely unrecognisable. If you never wear your hair in curls, maybe a romantic bun is more your thing? By all means get creative, but just make sure the resulting look feels like ‘you’.

Adorn Your Hair With Accessories Be it flowers, a veil or tiara, hair accessories can turn an ordinary hairstyle into something quite incredible.

This is also a particularly good option for short hair, where styling can be limited. Experiment with different hair decorations, ensuring that whatever you opt for suits the style of your dress.

Practice Makes Perfect Whether you’re coiffing your own creation or calling in the professionals, make sure you have a practice run or two, or even three! If you are tending to your own tresses then you need to make sure you have you chosen style nailed, rather than coming up against any unexpected obstacles on the day. And if you have a stylist on call, make sure he/she knows exactly what you want and that you are happy with the final look, to save any unwanted surprises before that walk down the aisle!
