Do you know your own hair colour?

Do you know your own hair colour?

How long have you been dying your hair? Can you even remember its natural colour? Because a sixth of women can't reveals new research.

The study was looking at the haircare spending habits of women in the UK and found that the average spend at a hairdressers was £42.32.

Matthew Wood of vouchercloud.com, who conducted the research, had the following comment to make: "To think that a sixth of women don't know what their natural hair colour is is quite an eye opener, but I suppose if you've been colouring your hair for years on end, it probably does fade from memory. Hair colour can change with the vagaries of age, so if you've been dying your hair from an early age then it stands to reason that 30 years later you might be unsure as to how it looks without it."

“Both men and women fear the onset of grey hair, so in many instances it's probably best if you avoid knowing what really lies beneath, otherwise you could be in for an unpleasant shock to realise that age has crept up on you more than you thought!"

The study revealed that the most popular colour change was from brown to blonde, with blonde to dark coming in the second most popular.
