Toy Story 3

Toy Story 3

As our search for the best movie of 2010 we enter the top five today and it’s Toy Story 3 that we are here to celebrate.

Without a shadow of a doubt Toy Story 3 was the best animation to hit the big screen in the last twelve months - and I defy anyone to find something wrong with this movie!

It’s been eleven years since Toy Story 2 hit the big screen and a whopping fifteen years since Toy Story kicked off the Pixar revolution.

But 2010 brought us Toy Story 3 in what was the greatest animation of the year as out favourite characters Woody and Buzz Lightyear made a triumphant return.

As Andy prepares to depart for college, Buzz, Woody and the rest of his loyal toys are troubled about their uncertain future.

His loyal toys find themselves in daycare where untamed tots with their sticky little fingers do not play nice.

So, it's all for one and one for all as they join Barbie's counterpart Ken, a thespian hedgehog named Mr. Pricklepants and a pink, strawberry-scented teddy bear called Lots-o'-Huggin' Bear to plan their great escape.

We all thought that Pixar had achieved greatness with Wall-E and Up in the recent years but the Toy Story 3 really does top all that.

It really is a timeless story with universal themes that we can all relate to about coming of age, moving out into the world and leaving childhood behind.

We always say that sequels can never live up to the original but this movie, much like Lord of the Rings and The Bourne Ultimatum, really bucks that trend.

Toy Story 3 is a warm and very funny movie that is just as much for adults as it is for the kids, seriously parents will also fall in love with the characters and the story.

We all remember that moment when we leave out childhood toys behind and I defy anyone to not get choked up when Andy finally leaves his toys behind, which brings a very poignant end to this wonderful series of movies.

Toy Story 3 is one of the finest movies of 2010 that will have you laughing and crying with its heart rendering moments as well as great jokes and some visual gags.

Toy Story 3 is almost the perfect movie and is one every generation can enjoy. Oscar nomination anyone?
