Brave

Brave

No summer would be completed without a Pixar movie hitting the big screen and this time around we are being treated to Brave.

Brave it the first original story after Pixar when with sequels for the last couple of years with Cars 2 and Toy Story 3.

Brave hit the big screen yesterday but if you can't get to the cinema until the weekend that here are a couple of clips from the movie for you to check out:

Mark Andrews is making his feature length directorial debut with the movie while Brenda Chapman is directing for the first time in over ten years.

The pair also penned the screenplay alongside Steve Purcell and Irene Mecchi.

Once again Pixar have put together a great vocal cast as Kelly Macdonald will voice the character of Princess Merida.

Pixar also have a bit of a knack of creating unforgettable characters and it seems that that trend is set to continue as the fiery Merida wants to take on the world in her own way.

Macdonald is joined on the cast list by Emma Thompson, Kevin McKidd, Robbie Coltrane, Billy Connolly and Julie Walters.

The impetuous, tangle-haired Merida, though a daughter of royalty, would prefer to make her mark as a great archer.

A clash of wills with her mother compels Merida to make a reckless choice, which unleashes unintended peril on her father’s kingdom and her mother’s life.

Merida struggles with the unpredictable forces of nature, magic and a dark, ancient curse to set things right.

Brave is out now
