Kick Ass 2

Kick Ass 2

Aaron Taylor-Johnson is back on the big screen this week in Kick Ass 2, and he is just one in a long line of super talented young actors.

We have already looks at the ladies under twenty five that are lighting up the big screen, and now it is time to take a closer look at the boys.

- Aaron Taylor-Johnson (23)

Aaron Taylor-Johnson has been making quite a name for himself since he made his breakthrough in Nowhere Boy back in 2009.

With that movie he took on the role of a young John Lennon, in a film that showed he was already a terrific actor and destined for big things.

Since then we have seen him mix and match his roles as he has moved from comic book film Kick Ass, to crime/drama Savages, to period drama Anna Karenina.

And he star is set to rocket even further with the projects that he has on the horizon. He is back this week in Kick Ass 2 as he reprises the title role for more crime fighting action.

He is also set to star in a remake of Godzilla next year. Gareth Edwards is in the director's chair while Bryan Cranston and Elizabeth Olsen are just a couple of the other names on the cast list.

Taylor-Johnson has also been linked to the role of Quicksilver in The Avengers: Age of Ultron. While he has confirmed he is on board he did reveal that he has sat down with Joss Whedon to discuss the role. Filming is set to begin early next year.

Anna Karenina

- Ezra Miller (20)

One of the actors that I am most excited about is Ezra Miller, he has already delivered a couple of cracking performances.

He made his big screen debut in Afterschool back in 2009 and since then he has mixed his film and TV projects.

But it was We Need to Talk About Kevin that really put him on the map two years ago.

The movie was based on the novel by Lionel Shriver and told the story of a teenager who goes on a killing spree at his high school; his mother is left to deal with the consequences.

It was a dark performance from the young actor that really was truly terrific. He followed that up with The Perks of Being a Wallflower last year.

Madame Bovary is the project that he has on the horizon that will see him team up with Mia Wasikowska and Paul Giamatti.

- Daniel Radcliffe (24)

Daniel Radcliffe made his name, as well as his fortune, with the Harry Potter franchise. He played Harry Potter for ten years, and it was a role that made his a global star.

Since the end of the franchise the British actor has taken on a wide range of different roles; showing off a very versatile side to himself.

The Woman In Black was a huge hit when it hit the big screen early last year. The movie was a big screen adaptation of the Susan Hill novel and saw the actor team up with director James Watkins.

He moved into TV with A Young Doctor's Notebook before returning to film projects.

Kill Your Darlings is set to release this autumn while he has also completed work on Horns and The F Word.

Woman In Black

- Logan Lerman (21)

It was back in 2000 when Logan Lerman made his big screen debut with The Patriot.

But it was Percy Jackson & the Lightning Thief in 2010 where he really made his big breakthrough.

He took on the title role as the first of Rick Riordan's Percy Jackson & The Olympians series to be adapted for the big screen.

Since then we have seen him in The Three Musketeers, Stuck In Love and the fantastic The Perks Of Being A Wallflower; which was an adaptation of Stephen Chbosky's much loved coming of age novel.

He returned to the big screen last week with Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters and Noah is on the horizon.

Noah is the biblical epic from director Darren Aronofsky; Russell Crowe will play the title role while Lerman will play Noah's son Ham.

Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters

- Nicholas Hoult (23)

Nicholas Hoult is another British actor who has been making waves in Hollywood over the last few years.

We all remember him as the young lad from About a Boy. but now he is one of the brightest young stars.

Since grabbing everyone's attention in TV series Skins, he went on to appear in the likes of A Single Man and Clash of the Titans.

A bigger blockbuster role followed in 2011 as he landed the role of Hank aka Beast in X-Men: First Class; a role that he will be reprising next summer.

It has already been a busy year for the actor as we have seen him in Warm Bodies and Jack The Giant Slayer.

X-Men: Days of Future Past is set to be one of the blockbuster movies not to miss next summer as director Bryan Singer returns to the helm of an X-Men film.

He has also completed work on Young Ones and Mad Max: Fury Road - so we are going to be seeing plenty of Hoult on the big screen over the next twelve months.

Warm Bodies

- Anton Yelchin (24)

Despite being just twenty four, Anton Yelchin is an actor who has already enjoyed a career that has spanned over a decade.

He made his debut in ER back in 2000, and since then he has seen his projects get bigger and bigger and his star rocket.

More recently it has been roles in Terminator Salvation, Like Crazy, Fright Night and Star Trek that have really helped him grab the spotlight.

He return to the Star Trek franchise this summer he reprised the role of Chekov in Star Trek Into Darkness; a movie that enjoy big box office success.

He has just lent his voice to The Smurfs 2 and Only Lovers Left Alive is another movie that is on the horizon.

Yelchin has also completed work on Broken Horses and Rudderless, and is currently filming 5 to 7.
