Scream has topped a poll as the most iconic phone moment in film of all time.

Scream received 63% of the vote to comfortably see off the challenge from Jerry Maguire. 'Show me the money' came in second with 57%.

Taken, Phone Booth and Mean Girls were just some of the other films that featured in the final results.

Curious to see which film phone moments are the most memorable amongst Britons, www.mobilephonechecker.co.uk polled 2,381 UK adults aged 18-65 and asked them to list their most memorable cinematic scenes or movies containing an iconic phone call, text message or voicemail message.

Respondents were told they could choose more than one moment if they wanted to, with the most popular top 10 moments revealed below.

According to the results, the top 10 most iconic phone moments in film, in the eyes of Britons, are as follows:

1. Scream (1996) - 'What’s your favourite scary movie?'- (63%)
2. Jerry Maguire (1996) 'Show me the money!' - (57%)
