Bradley Cooper

Bradley Cooper

Bradley Cooper had a very successful 2013 that saw him enjoy box office success with The Hangover Part III, critical success with The Place Beyond the Pines, and a first Best Actor Oscar nomination.

And it looks like 2014 is going to be just as successful with a whole host of varied projects in the pipeline... and it all kicks off this week with American Hustle.

American Hustle is the first big screen outing for the actor since The Hangover Part III, as he reunites with director David O.Russell.

Cooper and O.Russell worked together so fantastically on Silver Linings Playbook, but now they go back to the seventies for this crime drama.

Cooper teams up with Christian Bale, Amy Adams, and Jennifer Lawrence as he takes on the role of FBI agent Richie DiMaso.

American Hustle is already being tipped to be in the Oscar mix, and the film has picked up a whole host of nominations and awards in recent weeks.

Cooper has landed a Best Supporting Actor Golden Globe nomination for his work, and could find himself in the Oscar mix for the second year running.

Serena is set to also set to finally hit the big screen this year - this is the third film that will see him star alongside Jennifer Lawrence.

Serena is based on the novel by Ron Rash and sees Susanne Bier return to the big screen; Cooper will be working with the filmmaker for the first time.

The movie is set in North Caroline during the Depression and follows newlyweds George and Serena Pemberton. However, their life becomes complicated when they discover that Serena cannot have children.

However, it is Guardians of the Galaxy that I am most excited about as Cooper joins the Marvel family.

Guardians of the Galaxy is coming to the big screen for the first time this summer as this will be the second of two Marvel movies this year.

Sadly, we will not be seeing Cooper on the big screen for this role as he is just lending his voice to the character of Rocket Racoon.

The movie will follow jet pilot Peter Quill, who is stranded in space, and must unite a diverse team of aliens to form a squad capable of defeating cosmic threats.

A fantastic cast has been assembled for the film as Lee Pace, Vin Diesel, Zoe Saldana, Chris Pratt, Karen Gillan, Benicio Del Toro, Dave Bautista, and John C. Reilly join Cooper. James Gunn is in the director's chair.

Guardians of the Galaxy looks set to be one of the biggest movies of 2014, and is an exciting new Marvel chapter.

Cooper has also completed work on an as yet untitled Cameron Crowe project.

Crowe is in the director's chair and has also penned the screenplay for the comedy/romance.

Emma Stone, Rachel McAdams, Jay Baruchel, Bill Murray and John Krasinski are all also on board.

I am a huge fan of Bradley Cooper and it is great to see him in a wide range of projects in 2014.

American Hustle is out now.
