Organisers of A Concert For KILLING Cancer are warning that tickets bought for the charity event on the secondary ticket market will not be accepted for entry.
It follows measures put in place to ensure that all the money raised from the January 13th event at London’s HMV Hammersith Apollo goes to the KILLING Cancer charity, which funds research into a little-known therapy that destroys cancer cells with a single treatment – Photo Dynmaic Therapy (PDT).
The demand to see the incredible line-up has led to some tickets appearing on the secondary market.
“We are aware that tickets are now being offered via secondary ticket agencies,” says promoter Harvey Goldmsith CBE, “to avoid disappointment for genuine fans, we would like to reiterate that any sold through reselling sites will not be accepted and anyone found to be reselling tickets will have them cancelled.
“This is because we want any of the money raised to go direct to the charity and also to ensure that the fans pay the correct price. Tickets are still available via the official seller hmvtickets.com.“
Proceeds from the concert will also be supporting new trials with PDT for throat cancer and for disfiguring vascular tumours – including birthmarks.
The organisers of the concert hope that that this will also be a catalyst for an increase in public and corporate donations that will speed the launch of other PDT trials for heart and arterial disease, cervical, vulval and penile cancer.
“I am pleased to be asked to support such a vital cause,” says Jeff Beck “Any new breakthrough in cancer treatment should be taken very seriously and we want as many people to know about that as possible.
“The concert is not just going to raise funds to pay for new PDT trials, but will also help raise public awareness.”
