Hello there little monster, what are you up to?

Hi Ruth! Right now I’m on tour with Santana in Las Vegas, and looking forward to our next European tour.

So, tell me a bit about what you’re here to promote?
I’m very excited about my upcoming CD project, due out a
t the end of the year. It’s a release featuring some new material, as well as some very dynamic  hip-hop/urban remixes of songs from my previous release, “From Where I Stand.”

And if we didn’t have any clue as to who you were, what three words sum you up?

Hopefully those thre words would would be- creative, original and soulful. Whether they apply or not is up to the listener!

And as Jacko had the Moonwalk and Elvis had the snake hips, what do you have that makes you unique?

Playing a trumpet in a rock band?

Now, clearly we need to get to know each other more, so tell me an interesting fact about you that none else knows?

I once delivered groceries to J. Paul Getty.

What song do you wish you’d written?

“Someday We’ll All Be Free” by Donny Hathaway.

If I was contemplating coming to your show or sitting at home and TV, how would you convince me to come out?

If you came to our show, hopefully you would see something unexpected and unordinary, not something that was conceived in a board meeting or based marketing numbers . Our goal would be to play for you music that was honest, individual and spontaneous.

And if you were to take me on a trip to your hometown, what would be the first place we’d go?

We would drive across the Golden Gate Bridge into San Francisco, head straight into North Beach and have some great pasta and wine.

Who was the last person you called / text and what for?

I guess by the time this goes public it will be someone new.

If you were a superhero, what would be your superpower?

The ability to fly would be cool- no airport security lines!

If you had to date a member of the same sex who would it be?

Would they have to be from this planet?

What was the last thing you bought?

I bought a couple of nice suits in Boston, plus a pair of pretty killer shoes. That and my new iPhone.

Have you ever been arrested?

Thankfully no.

Speaking of prison - if you were to send someone to prison for crimes against music, who would it be?

How about me for cracking that G sharp last night?

What were you doing‌ last night‌ at 11?

Packing up my horn after the gig. After that, we all just faded into the sunset…
