Rapper/singer Plan B will shun alcohol while on tour in Australia later this month, so he can enjoy a big booze blowout at the BRIT Awards upon his return to his native U.K. next month.
The star is nominated for three top honours at the music event in London on 15 February , including Best British Male, British Single and Best British Album. He is jetting Down Under to play a series of gigs and festivals, but has vowed to stay away from the open bars because he wants to "unleash" his partying at the awards ceremony when he arrives back home.
He tells Britain's Daily Star newspaper, "We're going to go to Australia and work hard out there before the BRITs, so when I come back I want to party and unleash myself.
"We won't party out there 'cos we're professionals. We'll do the shows then come back and get drunk. I hope there will be time for me to chill out as there's two days off between each show so I can go and see some kangaroos and feed the koalas."
The star insists he's more concerned with enjoying himself at the BRITS than walking away with accolades. He adds, "If I don't win one, so what? I know there are people out there who love what I'm doing. It's nice to win awards as it cements that, but I'm going to have a good time whether I win or not."
