Women are now able inspire and influence change in the world, and now women with power and in the public eye are able to use their status for the better and help change the world.

To tie in with Women's History Month, the team at Blue Vanilla have created an infographic taking a look at seven famous and inspirational women around the world, their inspirational achievements and also a little about their style and favourite looks.

Some of the women featured are, Emma Watson, Angelina Jolie and Michelle Obama.

Emma Watson is involved in several philanthropic causes including the empowerment of young women, an advocate for the UN Women's HeForShe campaign and promoting girls' education in countries such as Bangladesh and Zambia. She is known for her polished style and neutral colours - blacks, whites and greys.

Angelina Jolie uses her fame to promote various causes, such as conservation, education and women's rights. She has received a Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award and honourary damehood. Angelina is not afraid of masculine power dressing and believes less is more with jewellery.

Michelle Obama is the first African-American First Lady of the United States of America. She is an advocate for a number of causes, and since 2010 she has played a vital role in huge movements such as efforts to encourage young children to become more active, support service people and their families and to give females from underprivileged countries the opportunity to learn. Michelle was voted one of Vanity Fair's top 10 of the world's best-dressed people in 2007. She is almost always in a dress, favouring a sleeveless design to show off those arms!
