The 33-year-old royal and her husband, financier Christopher O'Neill, will christen their second child four-month-old Nicolas at the Drottningholm Palace Chapel in Drottningholm, Sweden on October 11.

It's believed Madeleine's older brother Prince Carl Philip, 36, who got married to his wife Princess Sofia just two days before Nicolas was born in June, has been chosen by the loved-up couple to act as the little one's Godfather.

Nicolas - whose full name is Nicolas Paul Gustaf - will wear the same gown his older sister Princess Leonore used for her baptism last year and the holy water used during the impending ceremony will come from a spring on Öland.

The baptism, which kicks off at noon, will be attended by close friends and family but will also be broadcast on national television across the European country, according to the local Expressen newspaper.

Meanwhile, Madeleine and Christopher recently relocated to the financier's native UK and will raise Nicolas and Leonore, three, in London after they left Stockholm in the summer.

Madeleine - who spent four years living in America and has resided in the UK before - has previously spoken of how much she adores being married to Chris.

She has said: "The sweetest feeling now that we are married is that we really are a team. It really brings a special bond."
