Ever since I watched Jonathan Creek as a teenager (and bought myself the dvd box set in last year's January sales) I have always wanted to live in a windmill….
Whilst I know that's probably never going to happen, I have now set my sights on saving up for this whole year and treating myself to a windmill holiday in 2012.… so over the next week or two, I'm going to share with you my favourite windmills on the web.
Alvechurch
Surrounded by the rolling greenery of Worcestershire’s countryside and overlooking the small hamlet of Weatheroak, this very unique and quirky former windmill provides a wonderful and romantic break.
The windmill itself is a Grade 2 listed building because of its historic interest and has recently been completely renovated and modernised to offer two bedrooms, lounge, kitchen and a magnificent 360 degree viewing gallery on the top floor.
