When I heard that How To Look Good Naked was coming back, I was thrilled as I beleive it to be one of the most empowering shows that has ever been aired for women. A show that simply couldn’t be hosted by anyone else other than the lovely Gok Wan.

How to Look Good Naked

How to Look Good Naked

If you’re not familiar with the premise, Gok guides women who have lost confidence in their looks through a series of steps to get their smile back again when they look in the mirror. And one of these steps is getting them to strut their stuff naked in front of a crowd of people.

By about five minutes into episode one, I was already in tears.

We meet the beautiful Ames, a mother of three who has lost her way and in putting everyone before herself feels insecure in her own body.

Next, is 38 year old Helen, mum of two who also has a disconnect with her body and states that it is having an effect on her relationship with her partner. Both women are friends and so are there to help each other through the process of three way mirrors, naked photo shoots and underwear shots in the high street.

Gok, as expected works his usual magic on both women as they come to realise over the 8 weeks just how beautiful they both are, but not without a struggle as this process is particularly tough for one of his ladies.

The show is like having a giant hug from someone you’ve not seen in years and whose company you've sorely missed.

Viewers of the previous seasons will fall back into the flow of the show right away and for new fans-you are in for a treat because you not only have the new footage but an entire back catalogue to watch too!

The show features real ladies from relatable backgrounds and teaches women to love the bodies they are in now- not after losing weight or having surgery- NOW and that's what sets it apart from the rest and what makes it so special.

How to Look Good Naked sticks with the tried and tested formula but the new season comes with just a bit more sass. Can’t wait for episode 2!

How To Look Good Naked airs at 9pm on Wednesday exclusively on Really and dplay
