MTV bosses were forced to call in a specialist to help fix the programme's furniture in the Portuguese villa after so many of them got destroyed as a results of the cast's frustration.

Jordan Davies exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "That many chairs got broken there wasn't even a place to sit down. We were sitting on laps at one point."

Naomi Hedman added: "We had to get a carpenter in to fix the chairs we broke. These were antique chairs so they couldn't just buy new ones.

"Sorry if you're watching, the people who own the chairs, we broke them but we fixed them."

Meanwhile, the forthcoming fourth series looks set to be an explosive one as Megan McKenna - who is currently starring on 'Celebrity Big Brother' - returned with now-ex boyfriend Jordan - known collectively as Jegan - and rows got a little heated, so much so that security had to step in.

She explained: "The security had to get involved a few times when it got a bit out of hand."

Watch the new series of 'Ex on the Beach' from January 19 at 10pm, only on MTV.
