Vince McMahon used Monday Night Raw this week to announce a major stipulation for the WWE Royal Rumble match at this month's pay-per-view, which will see Roman Reigns defend his WWE World Heavyweight Championship against 29 opponents.

This came after Reigns defeated Sheamus in a title match stacked hugely against him, with Vince acting as the special guest referee.

The only other time the title has been decided in the Royal Rumble match was in 1992, when the championship was vacated by Jack Tunney after controversial finishes between The Undertaker and Hulk Hogan. Ric Flair went on to win the Rumble that year, picking up the championship after eliminating Sid Justice.

Raw also saw the return of Chris Jericho, who announced he'd be taking part as one of the 30 competitors.

Inside the 30-man Royal Rumble main event on January 24 from Orlando, Florida, Reigns will look to retain his championship, but with the odds truly stacked against him, can he really come out on top?
