As John (Graeme Hawley) and Fiz (Jennie McAlpine) start moving their things into the flat, John receives a text from Rosie (Helen Flanagan), who's heard that John is moving onto the street and is excited that they’ll have even more opportunity to see each other. John agrees to meet her secretly in the ginnel but she's stunned when he reveals that he doesn't want to see her anymore. He genuinely cares for Fiz and it’s too risky with her going back to school. Rosie acts nonchalant but it’s clear that she’s not prepared to let things fizzle out, and with her due to start school, will she let John go so easily? Jodie’s (Samantha Seager) fuming when Lloyd (Craig Charles) informs her that her dad's been quizzing him about why he split up with her. Determined to put a stop to Jerry's (Michael Starke) interfering, and to quit her role as full-time skivvy and surrogate mum, Jodie packs her bags and announces that she’s moving to London that afternoon. Jerry’s gob smacked and pleads with her not to go, but she’s made her mind up and wants to live her own life before it's too late. Will he manage to persuade her to stay? How will Jerry cope if she leaves? Sean (Antony Cotton) and Marcus (Charlie Condou) return from a family christening and despite Sean being very well received by Marcus's family, he's clearly preoccupied. He assures a worried Marcus that he has discussed everything with Violet and they've come to an agreement. In spite of Sean’s claims that he’s fine with it, Marcus is convinced that he's not as happy with the deal as he’s making out.Elsewhere, as part of his plan to get Liz (Beverley Callard) and Vernon (Ian Reddington) out of the pub, Steve (Simon Gregson) urges Michelle (Kym Ryder) to leave the house in a mess when they return from Paris. However, when Liz arrives back to the chaos and the news that Michelle and Ryan (Ben Thompson) have moved in permanently, she reassures Vernon that it won’t be long until Steve and Michelle start to look for somewhere else, so they should just sit it out. With both couples wanting the place to themselves, who will win the battle for the Rovers?Also, Carla (Alison King) agrees to consider Tony’s (Gray O'Brien) business proposition.
