A major overhaul is said to be coming to the female division in the WWE, with the term 'Divas' allegedly scheduled to be scrapped on the Monday Night Raw following WrestleMania 32.

PWInsider.com was one of the first news outlets to talk about the reports, which says WWE have already created a brand new WWE Women's Title belt, scrapping the butterfly design to go for something more similar to the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.

This Sunday, WWE Divas Champion Charlotte defends her title at WrestleMania in a Triple Threat, with both Becky Lynch and Sasha Banks gunning for the gold.

Charlotte herself had recently spoke out about hoping for a rebrand, telling Forbes: "I think changing it to Women's Championship would be great. It's 2016 now. We've had the Divas Championship for how long now? And I just think NXT is the Women's Championship, I find no reason why the main roster couldn't change it."

Despite many of the fans backing the change, Forbes reports that the top-selling title belt on WWEShop continues to be the toy version of the Divas Championship, with the replica NXT Women's Championship the 54th best-selling.

With the change looking likely to go ahead, Shane McMahon is scheduled to fight The Undertaker and, if he wins, he will gain control of Monday Night Raw. Could his win be the catalyst to see the Divas division rebranded from Monday? Could there also be the possibility of two belts, with Divas moving to SmackDown alongside the Authority if Shane DOES pull out a win?

WrestleMania Week is now well underway, with WWE already showing two exciting specials on the WWE Network in the form of WWE 24: 'Thank You Daniel' and Legends with JBL: Michael Hayes.
