Lacey Evans and Natalya would start off the 2019 women's Royal Rumble match, with the pair trading a series of blows before Mandy Rose joined the fray in slot number three.

Liv Morgan came in fourth, breaking up a double Sharpshooter from Natty with the distraction, but Liv was immediately eliminated by Natty after lasting just eight seconds.

Mickie James would come in at number five, with Ember Moon slotting in at number six and immediately making her presence fetl wtih some hard-hitting strike combinations and moves.

One half of The Iiconics, Billie Kay would be revealed as number seven, but she refused to go into the ring until Peyton Royce appeared.

Scotland's own twisted sister Nikki Cross was unleashed at number eight, looking determined to cause chaos and smashing Billie Kay into the barricade before climbing to the top rope and wiping out everybody inside the ring.

Billie would then decide to jump into the action, before entrant number nine was revealed to be the other half of The Iiconics, Peyton Royce.

The first third of the night's female entrants was rounded out with Tamina at 10 - a woman looking for her first Rumble elimination folliowing a devastating appearance last year.

Tamina would swiftly get rid of Mickie, before Xia Li from NXT was the first non-main roster Superstar to join the match at 11.

Number 12 was filled by Sarah Logan, who of course was hoping to do better than her fellow Riott Squad member Liv Morgan.

The Iiconics would take out Nikki Cross and eliminate her from the match, before the Queen Charlotte Flair came in at 13 - unlucky for some!

Lacey Evans would eliminate BOTH of The Iiconics, before NXT's Xia Li was taken out of the match with a Big Boot from Charlotte.

Former NXT Women's Champion Kairi Sane would take the 14th spot, with Charlotte picking up another elimination by taking out Tamina.

Natty and Kairi then worked together to take out Sarah Logan, before Maria Kanellis entered at 15.

Halfway through and the Rumble of course looked like it could be anybody's. Natty and Charlotte had been especially dominant, with the latter delivering a Spear to Maria.

Naomi entered at 16 in the hopes of giving some punishment to Mandy Rose in response to her trying to ruin her marriage. The pair fought on the apron before Naomi took out Mandy, but Mandy would ruin Naomi's incredible athletic attempt to return to the ring and destroy her chances of winning. Charlotte meanwhile would eliminate Lacey.

NXT's Candice LeRae was number 17 and went after Ember, whilst Charlotte fought Natty and Kairi took on Maria.

Number 18 was handed to Alicia Fox, who had quite the interesting entrance before teaming up with Maria and going after Kairi. The friendship didn't last long however, with Maria smashing Alicia's hat into the mat, and Alicia reacting by throwing a fit.

Alicia eliminated Maria before former Ninja Warrior America champion Kacy Catanzaro took the 19th slot and quickly proved exactly why she had been invited to take part.

Slot 20 was taken by Zelina Vega, who came out in a Street Fighter-esque costume.

The last member of the Riott Squad, Ruby Riott would enter at 21, flanked by Liv Morgan and Sarah Logan. The three of them dragged Charlotte out of the ring under the bottom rope, beating her down before also pulling Zelina and Alicia out of the ring. They'd then throw Alicia back into the ring, only for her to be eliminated. They'd do the same to LeRae, giving Ruby two quick eliminations.

Dana Brooke came in at 22, looking to be a strong contender before the Riott Squad pulled her out between the ropes to smack her around once more. Kairi was then eliminated.

Io Shirai was entrant 23, and took the fight to the Riott Squad who were brutalising her friend Kairi on the outside.

The amazing Rhea Ripley would take slot 24, and eventually eliminate Catanzaro following an amazing recovery from outside the ring.

Sonya Deville enjoyed slot 25, and Dana would then be eliminated by Rhea before Hornswoggle forced Vega back into the match. Once entering the ring, Rhea would quickly toss Vega to the outside, who would be chased out of the arena by Hornswoggle.

Number 26 was given to Alexa Bliss - who was making her in-ring return following an injury in September. She made quick work of Sonya, dropping her from the apron and making her first elimination of the night.

Bayley then ran straight into the ring at 27, and the Hugger Section signs swiftly found their way into the air in the crowd! She'd eliminate both Ruby and Rhea in quick succession, before going after Natty.

Though Lana hurt her ankle earlier in the night, she would enter the Rumble at 28, limping her way to the ring. A few steps down however, and she would fall to the floor and chat to medical staff.

Nia Jax enjoyed the 29th slot, and decided to attempt to destroy Lana's ankle before making it to the ring. Once there, she took out plenty of the in-ring competitors, catching Shirai after she attempted a move off the top rope and tossing her to the outside. She'd then take out number 1 entrant Natty after 55 minutes, 58 seconds.

The final spot of course went to the female winner of the Mixed Match Challenge, Carmella. She managed to ground Nia upon her arrival, but the Facebreaker got up quickly and slammed Carmella to the ground, before moving onto Alexa.

Meanwhile on the outside, Becky tried to enter the Rumble to replace Lana, and was eventually told that she would be the final competitor in the women's Rumble match. It was here that Becky looked to get her revenge against Nia for breaking her face.

An incredible back-and-forth on the apron between Alexa and Ember would eventually see the latter eliminated, before Alexa would then go up against Carmella inside the ring.

Bayley then delivered a Buckle Bomb to Alexa, who was eliminated by Bayley following some teamwork from Carmella.

Eventually though, Charlotte would take out Carmella before Bayley attempted to remove her former friend from the competition, but to no avail.

Charlotte, Becky, Bayley and Nia made up the final four.

A big boot to Nia - who had Bayley on her shoulders - saw Bayley dumped backwards out of the ring and a final three that blew the roof off the arena.

Charlotte and Becky managed to work together long enough to take Nia out, leaving a final two match-up that the world could truly enjoy. Nia interfered by pushing Becky to the ground and forcing her to land awkwardly on her knee, with the Lass Kicker finding it hard to stand up on the outside.

Eventually, Becky would make it back into the ring and force Charlotte to take her on if she wanted the victory. It was an emotional and passionate moment of sports entertainment, that saw Charlotte begin an aggressive attack on her former best friend's knee.

Despite the chaos however, Becky would prove she was THE MAN by throwing Charlotte to the outside and picking up the victory.

The Royal Rumble is available to stream now on the WWE Network.
