Perhaps you don’t have a partner but yearn for a baby and the bun is a symbol of this desire and your readiness to be a parent.

A bun in the oven, could simply be related to something you are creating or want to produce in your waking hours. Think about what gets your creative juices flowing and perhaps you need to return to that if you’ve neglected it lately.

Consider the phrase ‘buns of steel’, while this literally refers to having a toned bottom, in your dream it could mean that you need to tighten something up in your waking hours.

Perhaps you have been slacking off in something you really need to focus on such as your job, your relationship or your family. Now is not the time to drop this and be distracted by other things.

Think about what the bun looked like in the dream and who you were with. A sweet and sticky bun is a sign of home comforts, even more so if you were with someone you love. Do you need to get in touch with this person if you are missing them to share a bun and put the world to rights?

If you were baking a bun, perhaps you are feeling nostalgic if this is something you enjoyed doing in the past. Do you need to learn how to move on or is the dream encouraging you to carry on this tradition or hobby?

A hotdog or burger bun could be a sign that you want to feel a warm embrace. If you have felt distant from someone lately, perhaps you need to make a bigger effort to be close to them again. If the distance is of their doing, maybe you need to talk to them about how it’s making you feel, even if you can’t physically be together.

A hair bun is indicative of gathering up loose ends or bringing things/people together in order to make something whole again.
