Dreaming about honesty has implications for you in your waking hours

It might be time for you to be transparent with yourself in order to help you move on from feelings of stagnancy. Do you need to give yourself a good talking to and some tough love for the greater good?

The dream could mean that you aren’t being totally honest with someone in your life. Do you need to break the news to a partner that your relationship isn’t working, to a friend that you don’t want see them again, to a boss that your heart isn’t in the job and you want to move on or that a family member has hurt your feelings?

On the flipside perhaps you might be brutally honest with others and perhaps you have offended someone or driven them away with your frank words. Do you feel you want to apologise? Do you need to tone this side of yourself down? Or would you prefer to seek out others who share the same attitude to life?

Honesty has associations with integrity, truthfulness and straightforwardness. Are these traits you wish you embodied? If so, there is still time to- it might just take a shift in your current thinking patterns.

Honesty is also closely linked to trustworthiness. Do you trust yourself and your instincts? Or do you fear that someone in your waking hours is a thief, a cheater or a liar? It might benefit you to look inwardly first- if you don’t trust your own feelings and intuitions- you may be projecting this onto someone else and falsely accusing them in your mind when they are, in fact innocent.

Finally, honesty is also thought to be synonymous with fairness. Perhaps you feel you have been treated unfairly lately. Have you acted unfairly towards someone else and you now regret your actions or words?

If the latter is true, do you need to make amends with this person?

If you feel that you are the one who has been wronged, do you want to inform the person who’s inflicted this upon you about how this has impacted on your life?
