A tube is surgically placed into your abdomen and 20 minutes after you've eaten you open the valve and pump out the contents.

Drastic diets have been used in a bid to shed the pounds, but would you ever consider sucking your food from your stomach?

The test run of 24 patients has found that an average of 44pounds is lost, which is a considerable amount of weight.

The device is designed for weight loss similar to that of a gastric bypass and is intended for use by morbidly obese people.

Like the gastric bypass surgery, this device expects you to consume healthy and nutritious meals as the pump can't handle heavy foods like steak, chips and Chinese food.

Whilst this sounds like a more dramatic way to lose weight, would you ever consider it?
