What injuries have you sustained this year?

Tis the season to be jolly careful, according to a poll conducted by Panadol, which reveals more than eight out of ten Brits have nursed seasonal scrapes, aches and pains as a result of their Christmas festivities.

Catching a cold and slipping on ice take the top two spots for causes of seasonal aches and pains.

Other common complaints include: indigestion from over-indulgence, paper cuts from present-wrapping and tension headaches from all the pressure of preparations.

Even the turkey proves treacherous, according to the poll: one in six Brits has been burned while preparing the Christmas meal. While almost one in ten has sustained scratches from the tree.

Happily however, it seems the benefits of the holiday season far outweigh the risks, with the vast majority of Brits looking forward to the festivities.

Renata Amaral, Panadol Senior Brand Manager, said: “With so many of us admitting to suffering from seasonal aches and pains, it’s good to know that the Panadol range of products can treat pain effectively and is gentle on the stomach, so you can continue to enjoy the festive season. Yet, with eight out of ten of us looking forward to Christmas this year, it goes to show that these aches and pains aren’t enough to dampen our festive spirit.”
