Letitia Wright leaving Black Panther 2 rumours shut down

MCU star Letitia Wright, who plays T’Challa’s sister Shuri, was rumoured to have left the role in upcoming movie Black Panther: Wakanda Forever following an injury on set, but this is not the case.

The actress will be continuing with the exciting project next month (January, 2022), which may be a relief to many fans; especially those who believe Shuri to be taking on the mantle of Black Panther.

Wright’s character is thought to become the hero, after Chadwick Boseman’s untimely passing last year (2020). With the story going ahead without T'Challa, audiences now expect Shuri to be the one to keep peace in her homeland and beyond.

Hocus Pocus 2 set images unveil working title

New images from the set of Hocus Pocus 2, which stars Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Kathy Najimy, has let slip the film’s working title.

Black Flame is the working title for the highly-anticipated sequel, which is in the works almost 30 years after the original movie which released in 1993. Despite the movie not doing too well initially, it become a cult classic as the years passed.

An on-set image revealed a trailer with a sign with the words Black Flame and ‘Winifred’ on it. While this may be an effort to disperse any crowds, many fans will know that this working title is a reference to the Black Flame Candle that brought the trio of witches to life in the original film.

Fantastic Beasts 3 trailer confirmed to release on December 13th

The new trailer for Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore is set for official release this coming Monday (December 13th, 2021), but no specific time has been disclosed as of yet.

The upcoming movie will be the latest entry in the Harry Potter franchise, which began all the way back in 2001.

A notable change for this new trilogy is the replacement of Johnny Depp, who played Grindelwald; the role is now being played by Mads Mikkelsen (Hannibal, Doctor Strange); a decision that seemed to split the fanbase right down the middle.

While no time has been revealed for the teaser, at least fans can look out for the release on Monday.

Marvel’s Eternals to land on Disney+ in January 2022

Marvel Studios have revealed that their latest cinematic venture, Eternals, will arrive on Disney+’s streaming service in January 2022.

Eternals debuted in cinemas on November 5th, 2021 (in the UK), so January’s release date is only two months after the film’s release. The movie followed a group of ancient beings with differing powers and abilities, who come to realise their lives may not be what they seem.

The MCU movie will be available on the streaming service on January 12th, 2022.

Spider-Man 4 reportedly in development with Tom Holland

A fourth Spider-Man movie, starring current Spidey Tom Holland, is reportedly in secret development at Marvel Studios and Sony.

Holland has proved himself to be an excellent Spider-Man, with MCU fans adoring his young, comical character. Recently, rumours broke out that the actor will be playing the webbed wonder for another trilogy, which sparked joy amongst the majority of those who tune in.

With the news of a fourth Holland-led Spider-Man movie seeming to be true, fans can only wait to see what adventures befall Spider-Man and Peter Parker in the future.

Sebastian Stan and Jessica Chastain get robbed in clip from The 355

MCU actor Sebastian Stan and IT: Chapter Two actress Jessica Chastain star together in The 355, a spy thriller in which they appear as a newlywed couple on their honeymoon.

The title of this upcoming thriller draws inspiration from a real-life women spy who served during the American Revolution; the film itself follows an all-female spy crew who team up to find a weapon that lands in the wrong hands.

It seems that Chastain will be the lead in this feature, and Stan is more of a supporting character; The 355 will release on January 7th, 2022.

Jason Momoa confirms Aquaman 2 has finished filming

Jason Momoa, who plays titular DC hero Aquaman, has confirmed that the Aquaman sequel, Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom has wrapped shooting, almost a whole year ahead of its December 2022 release date.

2018’s Aquaman was met with mostly positivity, as Arthur Curry/Aquaman (Momoa) headed to Atlantis to battle his half-brother for the title of King. The sequel seemed to take a while to get off the ground, but now James Wan is back to sit in the director's chair once more.

Wan did an excellent job with the first movie and so, the bar is set high for the follow-up; the director has said that Aquaman 2 will be a little more serious, but will still be highly entertaining and thrilling.
