Samantha Mumba lashes Out At Jason
Fern: "Is there anything you would like to say to Jason whilst he is sitting next to you?"Samantha: "Ill save that for off camera"
Fern:"Oh no! Say it on camera!"Jason: "Why? Im out of here darling so you might as well say it now"
Samantha: "So heres my thing with Jason, this has been my issue from day one. I think his character on the show is fantastic, it needs it and it makes it wonderful. I think his thing is backstage, even from the first show, backstage you would smile at him and you would get nothing back. And its like, ok, which is fine but then today coming into my dressing room and saying how are you its like he talks? To us? its just weird"
Jason: "In my defence, you have to remember, I have to keep myself from you as a judge"Samantha: "None of the other judges do, they are all very lovely"
Jason "Well thats the way they work"
Samantha: "Which is fine. I find him [Jason] vile but at the same time, also, with a bottle of wine I know we would have a ball"
Jason: "Well, I dont drink so it wont happen"Samantha: "you need to, maybe thats the problem"
Samantha comments on leaving show
Samantha: "I knew once I had finished the first routine, I had a bad feeling straight afterwards. I had really hurt my leg and I knew that if I was in the skate-off I was gone because I pushed it as much as I could. I was in so much pain and I was trying to just get through it but it just wasnt happening. Even if I had been saved I dont even think I couldve done the show next week, Ive got two or three weeks physio on the leg now"Phil: "Did the splits hurt?"
Samantha: "yes it did, a lot!" Fern: "Thats why in the skate-off you changed the ending?"
Samantha: "Yes. There was no way I couldve done it, I barely got through it as it was"Fern: "Did you feel, oh ok, Im in the skate off and sort of just give up?" Samantha: "No, it was more the rush of everything. When I did the skate-off last it was the last three contestants, then a break and we had a couple of minutes to warm up. But this was kind of no, youre in the skate-off, come on it was like oh, bloody hell My leg was really, really sore and I had iced it for most of the show so I was just hoping that that would stay with me but I was in pain and just did the best I could, I know it wasnt how it was meant to be"
Phil: "Will you miss it?"
Samantha:"Absolutely, Ive had a ball. Ive had a really, really wonderful time and met some great people"
