Christine Lampard and Kate Garraway have fuelled rumours Lorraine Kelly could sign up for this year's 'Strictly Come Dancing'.

The TV presenters gossiped over the chances of the 60-year-old host taking part in the BBC Latin and ballroom dance competition this year, after she took a break from her hosting duties, and they sparked speculation she could be in hiding.

While teasing what is to come on 'Lorraine', Kate said: "One of the reasons that she is not here is that she's gone into a Strictly bubble! You know how they're talking about couples going into bubbles for social distancing? Lorraine is rumoured to be one of them."

Christine - who is filling in for Lorraine - asked the crew: "Has anyone got any information in this studio? "No, not a word I'm being told in my ear. But if I hear any gossip, I will tell you when I hear, obviously."

Kate then asked from the 'Good Morning Britain' studio: "Would you advise her to do it, Christine?"

The 'Loose Women' anchor took part in the 2008 series with professional dancer Matthew Cutler, but left the competition in fifth place.

She replied: "I guess I would! The bubble thing beforehand would be quite intense, I'm not sure I could cope with that bit. It's stressful enough doing that show. If I hear any gossip, I will tell you here obviously!"

However, Lorraine has previously said that she would never want to take part in 'Strictly', as she believes she is a "rubbish" dancer.

She said: "I've been asked to do 'Strictly', but I wouldn't say yes. Not in a million years. I love the show but would be rubbish.

"Anton du Beke came on my show and said he'd teach me to dance, but when he tried, I went all Scottish and stiff and he said, 'Oh my God you're right, it's like holding a tree.' "
